About our guest speaker:
Mr. Roy is an accomplished art teacher, painter, quilt maker, designer, antique dealer, quilt collector, historian, and American Quilters Society certified quilt appraiser. He is a founding board member of the quilt appraisal program and continue to administrate, teach, test, and certify other qualified appraisers for A.Q.S.

In 1969, along with his late partner Paul D. Pilgrim, he established the Pilgrim/Roy Antique Quilt Collection. He now remains the owner, and curator of the collection housed in Warner, N. H.

His work, both paintings and quilts are represented in private collections throughout the United States. In 2004 The Museum of the American Quilters Society purchased his quilt titled; “Complimentary Composition” for the permanent collection.

Since Jan. 2004, Mr. Roy has been writing a regularly featured article for Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting Magazine called "This Old Quilt." It is published every other month. The magazine is available by subscription or in stores.
