NHSQA is very pleased to announce our 2010 Quilt Challenge. This wonderful event will not only showcase the wide range of talent within our organization, but we will also be able to help provide and promote a mentoring opportunity for our members.
A second exciting aspect of this challenge is that the category winners will be featured in a NHSQA display at the 2010 "A Quilter's Gathering" Show held in November.
Plus...You will have the opportunity to participate in the selection of the Peoples Choice Award winner at our Annual Spring Meeting.
All skill levels and quilting styles are welcome and we encourage you to share your vision of the challenge theme.
Please consider joining in this event. Sharing is key to our mission statement. "Quilt for all and All for Quilting!"

2010 MEMBER QUILT CHALLENGE
Join in this quilt challenge to share your quilting talent and to help spread the word about the work of our organization.

We are very excited about our new NHSQA Member Quilt Challenge Contest. This contest will be very different from a regular guild challenge.
First, the top twelve (12) winners, (four awards in each category) will be featured in a special display at "A Quilters Gathering Show" to be held in Nashua, NH in November 2010.
Second, while this is a member's only challenge, we have added a special category for quilters 17 year old and under. Teaching and sharing the love of quilting to members of the younger generation is an important part of our organization. Member's can sponsor their child, grandchild, a neighbor or friend's child under their membership. The applicant does not have to be a member but must be sponsored by one. We hope you will share your enthusiasm for quilting with someone special.
Upon submission of your entry application and fee, you
will be sent a special fabric swatch which must be included in the
finished quilt. There are specific instructions on the size for this
quilt as it is necessary to have all entries fit in the allotted display
area that the quilt show is providing for us.
Let the fun begin....
The first step is to send in your entry form to join the challenge and received your fabric. The deadline for applying is January 31st, so do not wait.
The quilt challenge submissions will be due at the Spring Meeting. We will send you the paperwork (this will be where you give the information on your quilt) which you will need when you bring or send your quilt for judging. We are still working on a few details on the location/date for the Spring meeting but we are looking at around mid April as the time frame.
